Established MCCF Funds

The McDonough County Community Foundation currently has seven established funds that actively serve the needs of the community and fulfill the wishes of their respective donors.

CEO Fund

The purpose of this endowment is to provide annual financial support to the McDonough County Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) Program. The program is a year-long course designed to partner with community members and provide an overview of business development and processes to McDonough County high school juniors and seniors. Students are immersed in real-life learning experiences to take risks, manage results, and learn from outcomes. Distributed funds may be used at the discretion of the CEO Program Board to further enhance the student experience.

Macomb Agriscience Association

The purpose of this endowment is to provide annual financial support to the agricultural programs at Macomb School District #185.

Nathan Cobb Memorial Scholarship

This endowment is used to support McDonough County students at a college/university, community college or occupational training program.

Chief Andy Taylor Scholarship Fund

This fund supports students at Western Illinois University.

Luanne Sanner Fund

The Luanne Sanner Memorial: Children’s Art Education Fund will make annual awards to a visual art education program designed for children ages 12 or under in the Macomb, IL area.  This is meant to continue the legacy of Ms. Luanne Sanner, Macomb’s grade school art teacher for over 25 years and affectionately known by her students as “Miss Art”.  The goal is to “Bring Art to Children”.  Anticipated funders of this grant included people who were classmates of Luanne, former students, friends and family, and any other person who wants to promote art education to children in Macomb (Created September 3, 2024).

Matthew’s Special Recreation Fund

The purpose of this endowment is to provide annual financial support to McDonough County Special Recreation Association.

Phil Marshall Fund

The purpose of this endowment is to provide annual financial support to the agricultural programs at Macomb School District #185.

 

 

Fund Categories

The McDonough County Community Foundation offers a range of fund categories that support personalized giving and address community needs, while honoring each donor’s wishes.

Available Funding Options Include:

Community Funds

Local community members have defined a specific need or program within a community and these funds will be used exclusively for these projects.

Designated Funds

These funds have been established so interested donors are able to support an established nonprofit organization or cause.

Donor Advised Funds

This type of fund allows you, the donor, to direct your gift to the defined cause with the assistance of the McDonough County Community Foundation professional staff.

Area of Interest or Field of Interest Fund

This fund is established for a very defined cause with specific action to be taken. The fund allows community members to fundraise for one area of interest and place the gifts into the fund for future needs.

Unrestricted Funds

This fund is established by the foundation and donors have directed the McDonough County Community Foundation advisors and board to select qualified needs with no specific restrictions.

Pass-Through Funds

These non-endowed funds usually target specific community needs. Often, these are project-based and of short duration.
