The McDonough County Community Foundation provides categories of funds that will serve the needs of the community and fulfill the wishes of the donor.
Available Funding Options Include:
Community Funds
Local community members have defined a specific need or program within a community and these funds will be used exclusively for these projects.
Designated Funds
These funds have been established so interested donors are able to support an established nonprofit organization or cause.
Donor Advised Funds
This type of fund allows you, the donor, to direct your gift to the defined cause with the assistance of the McDonough County Community Foundation professional staff.
Area of Interest or Field of Interest Fund
This fund is established for a very defined cause with specific action to be taken. The fund allows community members to fundraise for one area of interest and place the gifts into the fund for future needs.
Unrestricted Funds
This fund is established by the foundation and donors have directed the McDonough County Community Foundation advisors and board to select qualified needs with no specific restrictions.
Pass-Through Funds
These non-endowed funds usually target specific community needs. Often, these are project-based and of short duration.
